Heck No! He doesn't even climb out!

...Yeah, that's what I was just recently saying to my mom the other day when she was asking me when I'm going to move Jordan to a big boy bed. No way was I going to put him in a bed, where he has no bars if I don't HAVE to! He doesn't even climb out of his crib!!

Well, something possessed me tonight, and somehow I caved and decided that if I want our crib to last us another child, I'd better get "Shaq" out now while it's still one piece!!

So here's Jordan's NEW Big Boy Bed!!

Thanks Grandma Stacy for the homemade quilt and blanket! Jordan LOVES his new bed!
UPDATE: He slept all night long, not a peep from his room. He woke up this morning at 7 am on the dot yelled, "mommy!" and when I came in, he was sitting on the edge of his bed holding his bear...fingers crossed for nap time today.....

I've been thinking lately about when to move Harrison out--at this point I don't see it happening for AWHILE...he doesn't climb out either...but there is NO WAY he would stay in a big boy bed...makes me nervous because I think the climbing out will happen soon.. In the last three days Harrison has climbed over the baby gate and onto the kitchen table...SHEESH!!! Jordan is so adorable!! I'm glad he loves his new bed :)

No railing? You are brave, or I just have OCD. Now you just need to buy one of those things so he can't open the door. (Is that bad that we still lock Evan in his room to sleep?) LOL!

YAY!! Wow Sheila! I can't believe you did it! And I love that he LOVES his new big boy bed! Look at that giant grin on his face. You can tell he thinks he is so big now! SO cute!!

oh What a big boy!!! That's awesome. We'll see how long it lasts right?

Amber - Wait as long as you possibly can with Harrison. The older they are, the easier it will be! Michael will be in his crib until at least 2 1/2. Potty training usually comes around the same time I think.

Wow, if Jordan is Shaq in his crib, I think I have Goliath!! Poor Shawn, if two year olds are graduating to big boy beds I guess I better graduate my little 3 11/12 year old to one too. This weekend! Thanks Sheila! =)

Jordan is so cute and sweet by the way in his new bed!!

You are soooooo brave!! We thought about putting Rebekah in a bed when Kaitlyn is out of her bassinett . . . but NO WAY!! We are buying a second crib . . . seriously . . . she is way too mischievious to be freed this early. I LOVE the look of glory on his little chubby face. I LOVE HIM!!I have decided he will marry Kaitlyn.

Good to know I'm ok to wait for a good long time--because I definitely have friends who definitely did it before age 2...DON'T THINK SO :) love you girls (and how we can carry on a conversation via comment...)

I'm dreading that day too (especially since my king kong boy doesn't climb out either), but its nice to know that you had such good success on the first night. Gives me hope!

He looks like such a baby in that HUGE bed!

Don't you think he looks so little in his big boy bed? That's what I thought when I put McKinley in her big girl bed. Kind of reminds me when we first put our tiny babies in the crib for the first time. They just look too tiny for it.
